The story of Pinocchio is shifted 1,000 years into the future. Inventor Gepetto creates the son he always wanted: a cute little android called Pinocchio who can feel emotions because of a special microchip. Meanwhile, technology-loving, child-hating Mayor Scamboli runs his steel and glass metropolis with an iron fist. Under pressure from his daughter to give the city's kids a place to play, Scamboli creates a public park. Gepetto, suspecting foul play on the part of the mayor, upsets the opening
