The Center for Family Solutions

The Center for Family Solutions (CFS) provides free effective treatment, education and family support for children who have been abused, neglected or traumatized by violence. Our goal is to assure that all traumatized children in our community have access to adequate intervention, treatment and ongoing support services. CFS believes that overcoming trauma is a developmental process that is best supported by a network of safe and caring relationships. Our programs strengthen these relationships through outreach, education and the arts so that children and families are connected with cultural and community resources that support wellness. With this concept at its core, CFS works closely with community partners and creates programs on site and in the schools that promote positive outcomes. CFS offers one-on-one interventions with children and caregivers dealing with sexual abuse and domestic violence; support groups for victims of child sexual abuse; and a domestic violence class. CFS also provides prevention presentations in the areas of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and bullying. CFS identifies as its consumers not only the families dealing with trauma but also the professionals serving them. CFS offers training to professionals to assist in their ongoing professional development. CFS also sees the community as a consumer and offers many educational opportunities to organizations and individuals throughout Butler County that promote supporting children and families in crisis to end child abuse.
