The Herbst Theatre is a black-box theatre located in Wright State University’s Creative Arts Center. The Herbst offers audiences an intimate and up-close theatrical experience without the distractions of large audiences and elaborate stage décor.

One of Dayton's best-kept secrets, this is the place to see the Wright State Professional Actor Training Program students in action --- productions range from ANGELS IN AMERICA, to Chekhov's UNCLE VANYA, to Dickens' BARNABY RUDGE, to URINETOWN, LITTLE WOMEN, Shakespeare (THE TEMPEST, TWO GENTLEMEN, TWELFTH NIGHT, CORIOLANUS,etc.), SWEENEY TODD, etc. Risky productions for the discerning, more sophisticated theatre lovers!!!
