A great breakfast, for a low price.

I didn't have the bad time the other 2 reviewers here did, me and my wife decided to give it a shot, if it wasn't good then I would just go back to Hasty Tasty, and I'm glad I did. We went to the restaurant around 10:00am, on Sunday, the place wasn't slammed, but it wasn't dead either. We ate biscuits and gravy, with eggs, for 4.50 for each plate, and it was very filling, and I'm a big man. The waitress was good, and friendly too, the food was GREAT, I mean I was surprised at how great it was, usually you get what you pay for, and in this case it wasn't. it was seriously good, the biscuits and eggs were cooked to perfection, and the gravy, well it was gravy with sausage, and tasty, I think this place might have had bugs to work out to begin with, but it's worth giving your money to, I say give it a shot, if you live in Belmont and want something cheap, and fast, and good, this is your place, for breakfast that is, I will go back for sure, and I want to try the all you can eat fish on Fridays.

Don't waste your time or money

What a disapointment! I too live in Belmont and wanted to support the new restaurant and local business. Where do I begin... on the good side the place was clean and our waitress was nice and polite, that's the best I can do and I honestly wish that wasn't the case here. We went to dinner around 7:00 on Sunday evening and had our pick of any table we wanted since there was only one other person there eating (First red flag). My mother ordered the cabbage rolls and they were pretty good however the mashed potatoes were awful! Tasteless and instant even though the waitress swore they were real ... ??? My dinner was horrible! The roasted chicken was dry and no taste as well, the green beans are from a can and served very dry as well. The side salads were ok but almost room tempreture, not cold and crisp as you would anticipate. And I too noticed the manager (owners' son I'm guessing as well) doing nothing but sitting on his butt playing or texting with his phone. They need to make some major changes or this place will be out of business ASAP.

dinner

we went as a family of 4 we got there a little after 6, there was a handful of customer's in the restaurant. We went for 2 reason's, 1) to support small business 2) try a new restaurant out in the neighborhood. Sorry to say that within a short few minutes of being seated, and the waitress taking our order, it all pretty much went down hill from there. She got the order's accurate, except for remembering my cole slaw. Then it was just one thing after another with her. Not to mention every time she screwed up, which was often, she would quickly say "my bad", or "oops, my bad". There was not enough silver ware on the table. I was sitting next to the window, and was cold almost immediately from the get go, so I switched places with my husband, only to find out later that their heating unit was broken, this on a night where it was easily at best 25 degree's out, mostly because of the wind chill. Then to add insult to injury the waitress continued to tell us, that they were short staffed (again not my problem) and I think 1 of the MOST annoying thing, was the guy (who I'm guessing is the owner or the son's owner) stood around playing on his smart phone, the whole time, while these 3 waitress's ran around like chicken's with their head's cut off. He NEVER offered to help them in any way. So even though the food was o.k. the chicken on the chicken salad that my husband and mother in law ordered, the chicken was grilled, and cold. We won't be back. Sad to say.. was really looking forward to a nice little family owned, close to home restaurant to eat at.
