The Via Vecchia story is one of friendship and a passion for excellence. A story of friends who met by chance, and took a risk to make wine the old way.
Via Vecchia is natural and simple winemaking that draws upon traditional methods that trace back to Tuscany, Italy, to a small village named Grondola. These methods, brought to Via Vecchia by one of its very own winemakers who received this knowledge from his father, is a method of making wine which has been used for thousands of years.
Over the years, our reputation grew, testing tradition to see if the methods of old could scale to volume. Our high sense of integrity and commitment to the ancient way of winemaking meant we could "hand on heart" claim that our wine is something very special and unique, nothing added, nothing taken away.
And here we are. The culmination of all our dreams and commitments made tangible. Making wines without compromise, wines that are truly "Beyond the Bottle".
